 Hypocritic Oath

My grandson came to visit me,

Had his smart phone out all the time.

Kids - so into technology,

So I complained to him that I'm

Of the old school that believes one

Should not allow a mere machine

To be depended on to run

A visit going on between

Close family in time and place.

No machine should get in the way

Of a visiting face to face.

Last thing I heard my grandson say -

Called me a hypocrite of sort,

And then unplugged my life support.
