Sense Sonnet - Pumper
Annual Tradition
In time and place 'neath autumn leaves
Jack-O-Lanterns do glow about,
Ghosts and skeletons in the eaves.
A witch in the window looks out.
From up and down the street they stroll,
Dressed up in costumes, this and that,
The multitudes of young with goal
Of stopping at this habitat,
Each at the front door in good cheer,
And when answered, politely greet
The dweller of this house to hear
Holiday words of "trick or treat."
All children of fun heart do roam,
Welcome at this Halloween home.
