 The Hermit

The Hermit is an old man who

Does stand upon a mountain peak,

Holding the Lamp of Truth to do

Guidance for Knowledge, he does seek.

A staff does help him navigate

The narrow and dark pathways trod

In persistent but lonely fate

To learn the truth that be of God.

Human connection he does shun.

He does not trust their hand or tongue.

A lot of healing must be done

On the harm inflicted when young.

Of all the tarot cards that be,

The Hermit is one most like me.
