Sense Sonnet - Pumper

 Old Us

Slowly towards old me comes old dog

With sparkling eyes and wagging tail.

Each morn we have this dialog.

Most often old dog does prevail.

Time for a walk old dog does bark,

As old me tries to pull socks on.

Old dog wants to go to the park.

Old me struggles with clothes to don.

And old me gets ready at last.

Old dog leads old me through the door,

Just as we've walked countless times past,

And hope to walk many times more.

Old dog does love to take old me

On our walk, old agelessly.
