Sense Sonnet - Acher

 Magic

I lived with Grandma for a while

When I was almost four years old.

She gave me a gift with a smile.

Magic, the monkey, I took hold.

The two of us went ev'rywhere,

A buddy for me, most welcome,

So many memories to share.

Grandma had knitted Magic from

Bits and pieces of that and this,

From rags and buttons, Magic made.

Grandma'd give each of us a kiss

And a cookie after we'd played.

Both at the church when Grandma died,

Magic and I sat side by side.
