Sense Sonnet - Acher

 My Bells

I hear the ringing of the bells

Of all the doors into my mind.

There's where my anxiety dwells.

I am fearful of what I'll find,

Causing all of my bells to ring.

Sometimes it's fiction, sometimes fact,

Intruding in my space to bring

God knows what thoughts or how I'll act.

All of these ringers put me through

These wringers of feeling no hope.

My bells of hell's potential do

Make me so desperate to cope.

I want my bells' ringing to stop.

Some anxiety pills I pop.
