Sense Sonnet - Tickler

 Glue

When I was in first grade, one day

Class was given some art to do,

Pasting paper in a display,

And I spilled my bottle of glue,

Which flowed all over my desk and

Then began dripping on the floor,

Got on my fingers of each hand.

The kids were laughing more and more.

The teacher helped me clean it up,

But from that day on "Glue" became

What most of the kids called me, yup.

'Twas my one and only nickname.

"Glue," a nickname I did not pick,

But all through school it sure did stick.
