Sense Sonnet - Pumper

Filling In and Up for Santa

I remember one Christmas Eve,

"There's no Santa," I told my Dad.

Concerned that I did not believe,

After a bunch of beer he had,

And after I had gone to bed,

Dad got a ladder and climbed up

On the roof, thinking in his head

He'd be Santa with reindeer - yup!

I woke hearing a thumping sound.

"There is a Santa Claus," I thought,

Fell back asleep. From roof to ground,

Dad slipped and fell, drunk as he'd got.

With broken leg, Dad was relieved,

Cuz once again his kid believed.
