The choice of Washington, D.C.

To be the U.S. Capital

Was done constitutionally,

With politics to make the call.

A federal city, residents

Do not enjoy the voting rights

Of other citizens, and hence

Over the years Washingtonites

Have wanted to become a state.

Is this a good idea or not?

More politicians be ill fate,

Raising the hot air spewed a lot.

Non politicians should know that

D.C.'s a nasty habitat.
