International Sloth Day in
The year of two thousand eighteen.
Sloth Luigi juts forth his chin
And with jaws open 'twixt and 'tween
Lets us let lettuce be hand fed.
Luigi does happily chew,
Hanging with his upside down head
Here at home in Lincoln Park Zoo.
It is Luigi's way to be
In a celebratory mode,
And though sloths tend to move slowly,
Luigi's chewing never slowed.

Lettuce with Luigi's a hit,
Whatever day - a perfect fit.
