Sense Sonnet - Tickler

A Pumpkin Roll - LP Zoo

A leopard and a lion do
A game of play a pumpkin roll,
Back and forth at Lincoln Park Zoo.
Of course the pumpkin takes a toll,
Bearing the marks of teeth and claws,
As the pumpkin rolls forth and back,
'Twixt and 'tween the big cats, because
They both do like something to smack.
All in spirit of Halloween,
When a pumpkin has chance to be
A major role upon the scene,
Although very temporary.

A thinking pumpkin should know that
Odds are not good with a big cat.
