The chimp troop at Lincoln Park Zoo
Are ambassadors for the wild.
Humans come watch us - yes you do,
And all of us are nature's child.
The Zoo is all we chimps have known.
We live well in this time and place,
Daily reminders to be shown
Of choices by the human race,
That on this Earth we all do share
A purpose why we are to be,
And it is for humans to care
For all of nature's destiny.

Zoos can help humans understand.
