To Hate is Human

The only animals that hate
Are humans, and the question why -
Humans cannot answer to date.
We run in circles as we try.
Since Cain slew Abel by his hand,
And God chose not to intervene,
Humans have failed to understand
Why humans hate - what does it mean?
Tiz easier to hate than not,
So humans take the easy way.
Then afterwards when God is sought,
We ask for less hate when we pray.

Hate is unique to humankind,
By means of hand brought forth by mind.
