Sense Sonnet - Pumper

Colobus Cool - LP Zoo

Black and white colobus monkey
In Lincoln Park Zoo I call home.
In Africa my wild kin be
Eating plants in forests we roam.
Multi chambered tummies digest,
Pooping out loads of seeds that grow
Into the plants that we like best,
The least we can do - doncha know!
Colobus - Greek for thumbless one.
But that's okay cuz we do cling
Effortlessly in fingered fun,
From tree to tree in life's big swing.

I would do thumbs up for the Zoo,
If I did have thumbs - yes, tiz true.
