Chimps of Hearts

Valentine's Day comes once a year,
But home at the Lincoln Park Zoo,
Chimpanzees have our hearts here
Monitored for health - yes we do.
Each chimp does have an EKG
Implant, keepers can record
At any time how each heart be.
And all this data is then stored,
Cuz chimps just like all great apes do
Be vulnerable to heart break
From disease just like humans too.
So heart felt thanks for good health sake.
