Sense Sonnet - Tickler

Mincing Mockingbird

A mincing mocking bird - what's that?
Mincing is defined as food prep.
I found a mockingbird - quite fat.
It tried to mock me, but no pep.
I put an aspirin up its butt,
To birdy heaven painlessly.
Then with a chef's knife, I did cut,
Making it as minced as could be.
Then into the oven it went,
And baked until a crispy brown.
I took it out - oh what a scent!
Could hardly wait to chow it down.

Perhaps not a food choice for some,
But adding ketchup - it was yum!
