Sense Sonnet - Acher

Mr. and Mrs. Zimmerman

I watched you sometimes on T.V.
Parents wanting to be there for
A son, innocent or guilty,
Whose life was changed forevermore.
Acts of children, parents react.
Often emotion floods the time,
When there is not enough known fact,
Tragic mistake or maliced crime?
Together, both of you displayed
A sense of holding family,
Scales of justice, however weighed,
Together you would always be.

Mr. and Mrs. Zimmerman,
I pray for you and for your son.
