Sense Sonnet - Tickler

Smile Guide

You're American. I am French.
Don't smile when we go to the Lourve.
You'll be deemed dippy in a cinch.
I'll probably be asked to move.
We French only smile when there's cause,
Not lots like Americans do.
French watch Americans and pause.
You're even grinning when you chew.
A smile's for ambiguity,
As Herman Melville roughly said.
Smiling means may or may not be.
But who do you see smile when dead?

Why does the Mona Lisa smile?
She's looking at your weird hair style.
