Sense Sonnet - Pumper

Jubilant Jubilee

Elizabeth, the saving queen,
For sixty years, she's held the throne,
For then and now, steadfast between,
The world has watched her hold her own.
Though it did rain on her parade,
Her Diamond Jubilee did shine,
Celebrating the life she'd made
When fate and fortune did assign.
As a daughter, mother and wife,
Her ups and downs were not for show,
Separate from her public life,
Devoted duty - ever so.

God save this Queen, for when she's gone,
The monarchy may not go on.
