Christ is Born

Christmas is the story of birth
Of Jesus Christ, the son of God,
Who came to change the bad on Earth,
To give good hope to all downtrod.
Forced by Roman bureaucracy,
The two travelled to Bethlehem.
No room at the inn, so Mary
And Joseph sought shelter for them
In a barn with livestock around,
In a manger on the straw floor,
The baby Jesus came earthbound,
Dawn of hope for oppressed and poor.

The birth of Christ, a holy day
To remember Jesus' good way.
