Food for Thought

The bacteria family,
We've been around longer than you.
You've made it hard for us to be,
With antibiotics you do.
You do them with live food as well
To get your critters fast and fat.
But some of us in critters dwell,
And do survive and then we chat
Of ways your antibiotics
Can be beaten by us in time.
Then we'll have you, and just for kicks,
Give you diseases in bad rhyme.

Bacteria are getting strong -
Invincible before too long.
