Real violence, kids hear and see
All the gruesome details up close
Over told and shown on T.V.
And other news - a daily dose.
Some parents try to filter out
The violence that's in the news.
But that's just a bandaid no doubt
On all the blood that spills and spews.
Perhaps it's good that all kids know
That violence knows no set bounds.
When and wherever children grow
Will be potential battlegrounds.

It matters not the time or place.
Violence, all children will face.
