Hand to Land

Cambodia's Cheung Ek, well known
For harboring the killing fields
Where Khmer Rouge remains were shown -
The harm that man against man wields.
And on that same land there is found
That man thrived centuries before.
Manmade pottery did abound -
That hands did more than just wage war.
The hands of looters now dig through
This land while hands of builders build.
Now this land's past and future do
Collide - their destinies fulfilled.

Ever availing is the land,
Holding the record of man's hand.
